Zimbabwe is a landlocked country in southern Africa known for its dramatic landscape and diverse wildlife, much of it within parks, reserves, and safari areas. On the Zambezi River, Victoria Falls make a thundering 108m drop into narrow Batoka Gorge, where there’s white-water rafting and bungee-jumping. Downstream are Matusadona and Mana Pools national parks, home to hippos, rhinos and birdlife. Zimbabwe is bordered by South Africa to the south, Botswana to the west, Zambia to the north and Mozambique to the east. The Hwange National Park is the larger park of Zimbabwe's two national parks. Of course, anyone visiting the area would have to experience a true safari. Eastern Zimbabwe consists of lavish grassland, filled with beautiful waterfalls, mountains, flowers and rare birds and animals. You can truly experience Zimbabwe when you spend a day on safari. The larger cities in the country also provide visitors many things to see. Museums and cultural centers abound, as do cafés and shops.
